Dragon kings, not black swans

A black swan is unforeseeable by definition. A dragon king is not — it's an outsized failure with a mechanism you could name in advance: correct parts, coupled in a way no one mapped. Most AI disasters are dragon kings in a black swan's costume. They look like bad luck. They're unexamined structure.
